Artist Reflection
During this year I have learned how to show more creativity through art. Some of my pieces turned out awful while others weren't too bad. Through this year I have also realized that I enjoy non objective artwork and I hope to improve on that next year. I also really enjoyed boutiques. Painting I like only if the objects are easy and we have a canvas. One thing I didn't like was the box to box painting. It did not turn out good. I am taking two art classes next year and I hope I keep improving. I'm excited for advanced art because I get to focus more on my talents and choose the art work I want to do. 3-D art will also be fun because I like using the wheel. I have already thought of some ideas I could do. Overall this year has been good. I learned a lot of new techniques. I tried some new things. I also had fun! :)
Chicago
The materials I used were chalk, pencil, and paper. The best thing about this picture is the buildings. The worst is the background. The chalk got all over the place. I learned how to blend a little better and to draw from a photo. I could improve on my ability to stay neat.

Little Sperm
I used a canvas board and paint. My favorite thing about it is the little sperm like shapes. My least favorite thing is the rest of the painting. I learned that this was not a good idea. The paint I used was also kind of dried out or old so that also effected the look of the painting.

Redo of Child Drawing
I redid this oil pastel drawing from one that I did in elementary school. I really like using oil pastels and the modpodge paint. This created the shiny finish. My favorite part is the finish. My least favorite part is the pink hair. I learned that little kids have more imagination then older kids.

TInkerbell- Twisted FairyTale
The materials I used where paper, and oil pastels. I chose to make Tinkerbell bigger then Peter Pan as the twist. My favorite part is Tinkerbell's wings and dress. My least favorite part are the faces. I learned that I can't draw faces very well and oil pastels makes it even harder.

Wax and Dye
I really liked this project. I used wax and dye to color the fabric. The wax blocked off the dye from running. I didn't like how the dye got all over my body. I really liked the colors that I choose to use. My subject was pretty simple so it worked for this project. Waxing was the worst part of this project.

Print Making
1. Materials that i used where paper and ink.
2. My favorite on is the multicolored blue and purple one. The black one on the white page was also good.
3. One thing that i should've done differently is that I should've made the cuts deeper so that ink couldn't easily be in the picture in places that it shouldn't. I should also make the ink thinner.
4. I learned how to carve areas so that it shows different shading.

Fish Crayon
I used both oil pastel and crayon. I learned how to make a drawing look layered and how to draw a fish. I like the background and the front of the fish best. I dislike how in some areas you can see the brown paper, but i didn't want the background too thick and dark.

Dreamlike Painting
I learned how to paint smaller details easier, toothpicks are awesome!
I used some magazine pictures and paint.
My strengths I think are the elephant head and then the trees.
My weaknesses are the bottom of the painting with the bricks, it became messy.

Semester Reflection
Next semester I would like to use crayons and wax.
This semester I liked Zen tangle the most.
It was the only project that turned out remotely decent.
Painting is not my thing.
My box by box painting looked like a 4 year old did it.
The scratch board project was my second favorite but I went through the paper in a couple places. :(
I learned that I need to use more detail and be more patient.
The word drawing was the easiest but it was not epic.
I learned how to make the color green, you use blue and yellow.
Still life drawings would've been more fun if I had drawn other objects.
My police badge was the best even though I know it didn't get picked because it was pink.
I also learned how to spell police after I messed up.
I really am excited for this next semester. :)

Little Kid Painting
This was the worst painting I've ever done. It looks like a little kid drew it and it only slightly represents the photo. I learned that box by box is hard and very frustrating. I love to paint but this didn't turn out well. Materials I used was a photo, paper, paint, pencil and a ruler. I wish I had chosen a different more easier photo to paint.
