Still Life

I learned how to use different tools to add more texture and effect to an object. I also learned how to you white pencil to make different types of black. I used household items that were in the art room, pencils, chalk, and paper. I really like how my bottles turned out along with the salt thing, but the rest could've used more time and patience. I also wished I had picked other objects to draw.

Scratch Boards

I learned that scratch board is really hard, and that you can easily scratch through the black. I really like the character I chose to scratch, but I don't like how its not all proportional and even on both sides. I used the internet to watch videos and find ideas of animals to scratch. The hardest part was making everything even and scratching out the white.

Ink Drawing

Materials I used in this drawing were pens of different colors. I really like her hair and how her tail has a side sweep. I don't like her left arm (our right) its a little chunkier then the other. I learned how to darken certain areas with lines or dots. I could improve on making all the lines even and precise.

Text Art

1. I created a whale fin with the song lyrics from the song "The Light is You" by Said the Whale. I used colored pencils and black markers.
2. I learned that simple is better.
3. The fin part of the picture.
4. The "said the whale part" it looks sloppy.

Police Badge

I designed a Police Badge for the new policeman in Van Meter. I didn't use much media for this project.
I learned that police is spelled with an I.
I am most proud of the pink lettering.
I am least proud of the o in police because I think it should be a little bigger.

Zentangle Drawings

1) I created two different Zentangle drawings. One is more cluttered and the other has more white spots. I watched videos on youtube to get some ideas to take up room on the paper.
2) I learned that taking up space with normal shapes and lines can be very hard.
3) I am most proud of the second drawing that I drew. (which is the first picture in this post)
4) I am least proud of how I rushed through some things when I could've taken my time and thought of cooler things to put in the drawing.
